Romilly Hodges MS CNS CDN IFMCP
I am a practicing clinical nutritionist helping individuals and families improve their health through nutritional and lifestyle interventions. During my time in practice I have honed an expertise in natural interventions to support the immune system.
As well as being a clinician, I have written for peer-reviewed Journal publication, textbook contributions, professional training programs, many online articles, and have been invited to speak at conferences. I was the founding Director of Nutrition Programs for an interdisciplinary functional medicine clinic (Dr. Kara Fitzgerald Functional Medicine) and managed a highly sought after Nutrition Residency program for nutritionists seeking certification. I have primary research experience, having designed the first-of-its kind epigenetic study diet for a clinical trial run though the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon that investigated the possibility of biological age reversal using diet and lifestyle. I also currently serve on the Board for the Accreditation Council of Nutrition Professional Education, a subsidiary organization of the American Nutrition Association (ANA), and I have been a spokesperson for the ANA.
I earned my master’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, CT (USA), and my undergraduate degree from the University of London (UK).
“I have been incredibly fortunate to have trained and worked with some of the finest clinicians specializing in integrative immune health. I am especially indebted to Dr. Kara Fitzgerald, the director of our clinic who also teaches physicians and other health professionals on integrative and systems-based approaches to immune health, for her mentorship and guidance throughout my forever-learning journey. Through her deep knowledge, and our active connections with other immunology specialists, I have acquired a breadth of knowledge that I couldn’t even have envisaged back when I entered this field.”

*Functional medicine is an approach to healthcare that emphasizes dietary and lifestyle interventions to support healthy organ and system function. My training in functional medicine does NOT mean I am a medical doctor. Rather I am a clinical nutritionist that understands and applies the functional medicine thinking that relates to diet and lifestyle.
